Hello! I have proudly been teaching at Harmony Grove, the only place I have known as home during my career, in 2002. During my tenure at "The Grove" I have taught all grade levels and have had the opportunity to be influenced by many great students.

I grew up in Sheridan, Arkansas and was actively involved in Boy Scouts earning Eagle Scout with Gold Palm. Additionally I was in band and was selected to All Region First Band five years in a row as well as All State Concert Band in 1993 and All State Symphonic Band in 1994.

I attended Henderson State University where I was a member of The Reddie Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, NuFusion Jazz Band and various brass ensembles. I studied trombone with Dr. Wes Branstine and graduated from HSU in 1999.

Upon graduation from Henderson I accepted a Graduate Assistantship at the University of Central Arkansas where I studied Instrumental Conducting with Dr. Ricky Brooks and trombone with Dr. Denis Winter. While at UCA I taught marching technique and Jazz Ensemble 3 as well as conducting the Concert Band and the Wind Symphony. During my time at UCA I was fortunate enough to tour with Jazz Ensemble 1, perform with Zoro the Drummer (I am not making that up, Google him) and to have a lesson with the Principal Trombonist of the New York Philharmonic Mr. Joseph Alessi.

Currently I am teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Third Grade Music, Junior High Band, Beginning Brass Class and assisting with High School Band. I have also had the distinct pleasure of being a clinician for band camps and region bands in Arkansas and as an adjudicator in Arkansas and Tennessee.
