Public Notice Regarding Destruction of Special Education Records

Notice is hereby given that on June 1, 2026 the Harmony Grove School District intends to destroy all special education records for students who have graduated, moved, dropped, been dismissed, or found ineligible for services in, or prior to the 2019-2020 school year. In accordance with State and Federal guidelines, special education records are maintained for six years after the student exits the program. If you are a former student or legal guardian of a student, you have the right to review and/or receive these records before they are destroyed by request DURING OFFICE HOURS IN THE MONTH OF MAY 2026. Please contact Krystal Hogue khogue@harmonygrovesd.org. These are not the student’s permanent records. These are only special education due process forms and records.
